How to get the Smell out of a Washing Machine

Do your clothes have a weird smell even after you’ve washed them two or more times? If so, the culprit could be your washing machine. Most times a smell in a washing machine is caused by bacteria build up inside of the drum and then it soaks into your clothes. There is hope and with a few simple steps and precautions your clothes will smell great again.

1- Wet the inside walls of the drum with warm water.

2- Take a clean cloth and scrub the scummy film that is coating the inside of the drum.

3- If your machine has a lint trap, empty it and wash it thoroughly.

4- Rinse good with water and dry with a clean cloth.

5- Now rub the clean dry walls down with bleach.

6-Give the bleach time to set in then rinse it thoroughly.

This should resolve the odors lurking in your machine. Now keep it smelling fresh with these simple solutions. -Keep your machine dry. -Use detergent made from 100% soluble cleaning agents. -Always use the recommended amount of soap for your wash setting. Check your manufacturers guide if need be. -Soak dirty fabrics in soapy water before throwing them into the washing machine.
