Return Policy
A receipt and return authorization is required for all returns, exchanges and refunds. Items must be in new condition and in the original packaging to qualify for a refund and refunds will be issued in the same form of payment as the original payment. Refunds, exchanges and re-selections are issued once the item is received and inspected.
- Delivery is a service and the delivery fee is non-refundable. If any merchandise is exchanged because "it didn't fit" an additional delivery and removal fee will be charged.
- All cancelled orders and/or returned merchandise will be charged a 30% restocking fee. The restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
- Custom order items are not eligible for return.
- Orders cannot be cancelled once they have shipped. If the delivery is refused customer is responsible for all shipping fees associated with the order.
- Mattresses, Mattress Foundations, Bedding and/or Miscellaneous Mattress/Bedding accessories are not eligible for return.
- Appliance and Mattress Center does not accept returns for any item that has been installed, used or plugged in. All items must be like-new, in original packaging.
- Appliance and Mattress Center reserves the right to refuse returns for any reason.
- We are not responsible for any installation or shipping charges when Appliances & Mattress Center/manufacturer authorize a Return Merchandise Authorization on a unit.
- Any product that has been installed or has attempted to be installed cannot be returned. Returned products must be in brand-new condition with all packaging, product literature and blank warranty cards enclosed in the exact condition in which received.
*Special orders are defined as merchandise available from the manufacturer, but not in-stock at Appliances & Mattress Center, specifically selected by the customer.

Modern, sleek, and works, but the fan is not as quiet as i hoped and the light is dim and heats the hood up. We will replace the bulb that came with it with a brighter LED.

Hood color is good,fan is ok.However the 40w bulb is just about useless.I replaced it with a 19w LED with a 100w equivalent it is much better.If the glass on the light was clear instead of frosted it would be much much better, I purchased the Hood because of the color,it matches my other GE appliances

Looks good and works great. Matches my other GE appliances. Installation took some time and needed some help with the wiring. One complaint though. The depth is too much and it comes too far over the stove. I have to be very careful to not bump into it.

The stove hood was bought primarily to match the slate color GE stove purchased. Since this hood was 20 years newer, I expected the fan noise to be less. The fan is very loud even on low. The light cover blocks much of the light from the bulb which is disappointing. It would make a good night light, but does not illuminate the stove top very well. It is wider than the previous hood, so I have hit the side of my head a couple times. The color is beautiful. The filter is easy to install and remove.

I love the sleek look of the range hood. it matches my appliances and looks great. My only complaint is the light is not very bright. my old hood was white with a very thin light covering so perhaps that is the difference. it is just something I will have to get used to.

When replacing all our 1978 GE appliances with new ones the old hood had to go. NEW hood had to match new stove, etc. Bought the basic hood...primarily for ILLUMINATION rather than air handling. Hood cones with an A15 40W incandaescent bulb. Bulb on this one is sequesterd by a light diffusing and dampening cover/lens. Did I mention a 40w. bulb? Original hood had a 60w bulb.
The light in the new one is great for creating MOOD LIGHTING, however, if you are in the MOOD TO SEE what you are cooking, get a flashlight.
A quick call to customer service (Rebecca was great) regarding substitution of LEDs that consume less than 40w yielded NO USEFUL INFORMATION. Seems I should be able to make this substitution, use less than 40 watts and deliver several hundred more lumens than the A15 40W provided. Rebecca escalated this inquiry and if all goes well, I'll get a response on the morrow. Today is solstice so tomorrow MUST, by definition, be brighter!!!
Great choice if you have auxilary illumination available...or if you can substitute LEDs.
NOT PLEASED this was manufactured in CHINA...if I'd have known I'd have shopped around. YES, I know that GE is owned by a CHINA corp.
