A receipt and return authorization is required for all returns, exchanges and refunds. I have had nothing but issues with my unit. It continues to have an issue with the soap getting stuck in the latch. This creates an error that takes me days at a time to clear. Im at the point of considering a new purchase with a different brand.

This unit has been the most disappointing piece of equipment I have ever purchased. The first day I got it I had to have some one come out and reinstall it as it was put in wrong. Everyday since I and everyday all day it comes on by itself when you are near it or just walk by. I just sucked out up until now I am tired of it one year ago. I probably used it maybe 7 or eight times since I bought it. Horrible service calls. Rude Said I needed to crawl under my sink and check hoses. This was after my recent heart surgery and to go back where I bought it. Just awful. Sorry I really like lg products.

I purchased this dishwasher for $498 from Home Depot. It was delivered by a contractor in a crate that was undamaged. It took me almost a week to find an installer who opened the crate and found the unit badly damaged.
The top and rear of the metal case was smashed in and it is obvious that the unit was dropped from height onto the top-rear edge then packaged in a brand-new crate to be sold as brand-new.
I contacted Home Depot who denied all responsibility and insisted that the damage and fraudulent packaging was the fault of LG. I spent many many hours on the phone via email and on the LG customer service chat line trying to get them to refund my money so I can shop for a new dishwasher. LG escalated my case the first day but now almost three weeks later I still have an obviously smashed dishwasher in the middle of the kitchen floor and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from LG.
LG sold a badly-damaged product as brand new fraudulently repackaging the unit to hide the obvious damage. Then they gave me weeks and weeks of runaround. I dutifully sent them all my information over and over providing proofs of purchase photos of the damage and repeatedly sent photos of very specific parts and interior labels of the product. Nevertheless they refuse to respond to my requests for a refund.
I am aghast at both LGs fraudulent attempt to hide the obvious damage and sell this product as new and even worse at the complete lack of customer service under their warranty.
Of course I will never purchase any LG product again either for myself or for the rental houses I own and manage.

This machine runs very quietly and does an ideal job of getting the dishes clean. It was not difficult to install because it was designed to be able to level the machine from the front of the machine without having to push it in and take it out every time to check the level. I bought a new Dishwasher for $806.00 and 10 days later it was broke and leaking water. I did a repair request 3 different times and each time it took over 2 hrs to complete. Not one bit of attention was paid to my issue at any time other than to talk to someone not from America on the phone. I will have to write many letters it seems. I bought a 2 yr warranty for protection but it is not honored while the manufacturer warranty is in place. It seems LG will wait out their warranty and leave me hanging. Honestly. what else can I think??

All procedure was good and the service man Simon was excellent and did extra work for dishwasher connection.
Only thing i want LG to improve is that scheduling system. I wish they can give me smaller time window like 4 hours not 10 to 5 pm couple of days ahead. BTW my wife loves new dishwasher she says its way better than the previous one. esp drying part.

Purchased a complete kitchen appliance package from Home Depot in fall of 2020. Appliances were delivered in 2021. Soon after warranty expired the dishwasher began showing the AE code. After looking online because LG was no help via phone or website I saw there was an internal leak. After a few days the dishwasher began working again. About 6 months later the same issue occurred. I began troubleshooting and looked at the door seal and determined it should be replaced. I replaced the lower door seal and we still had the AE code. I removed the dishwasher and put it on sawhorses in my garage leveled it connected water supply and electrical. I ran the dishwasher for numerous cycles with and without soap on different cycles etc. I never saw any leaks or had any issues. I reinstalled the dishwasher and leveled it and it worked fine. Now it 6 months later and the dishwasher is showing the AE code again The tray underneath is wet so there is a leak AGAIN This dishwasher is less than 3 years old and Ive had this issue numerous times. This dishwasher is the biggest piece of junk Do not buy Im going to buy a new dishwasher today because Im tired of dealing with this one and the crappy LG service. My model is LDF5678SS

The unit washed fairly well when it worked failed at the exact 1 year mark. Just kept shutting off mid cycle or sometimes 5 minutes into it. No rhyme or reason for it to shutting off. Left no error codes all functions worked fine. Was not worth having it repaired. Ended up just buying a new one. Dissapointing

I received my dishwasher a few weeks ago. The buttons are on the outside instead of the top making it very easy to lean against the dishwasher and start the unit. I find I have to put a cloth between the doors to keep it from going off. So basically if the door is closed and you lean up against it very easy to do since it is on the side of the kitchen counter the unit will go on. It takes about a minute to start and will only do so if you press the START button but it still waits for you to start the button. If you do not press it within that time it will stop on its own so it never actually goes on unless you press the second button but still annoying to have to press the stop button or wait for it to stop on its own.

I hate it Like another reviewer said if you lean over the counter and accidentally press a button it messes everything up. Not good for organizing dishes everything falls over. This is the worst dishwasher for organizing your dishes. Top shelf doesnt raise and the bottom rack has holder that you can raise up and down to accommodate for dishes but its still not very functional. They always fall. Silverware has a huge handle in the way and makes it difficult to take silverware in and out. A man designed this. It cleans well though. This was installed in my new home so its brand new but I need it replaced. oh and if your dishwasher is running and you lean on it and accidentally turn it off you have to turn it on and start all over

This dishwasher does a pretty good job cleaning even old dried plates. Once in a while have to rerun some of the silverware. The major complaint is that my dishes are drenched aand I have to open the door to air dry after finishing. Large puddles of water and dishes completely drenched but better than me washing by hand.

I bought this dish-washer and it broke down on me three times. I have the manufacturers warranty as well as the Best Buy Geek squad protection plan. The dishwasher tub rusted and eventually a got a whole on it that lead to a leak and the dishwasher being irreplaceable. I reached out to LGs support and it was the worst costumer service experience ever All the employees were actively ignoring me being very dismissive and even ghosted my phone calls. I received NO help from LG I am NEVER buying another LG product or appliance. Its been two months of my dishwasher being broken and they washed off their hands from any responsibility. For costumers do not buy this awful appliance. For LG get better costumer service at the end of the day without happy costumers you dont have much.

This is my second LG dishwasher and its my second for a reason the quality and reliability of LG. My first LG dishwasher was so quiet you couldt even hear it run my new LG dishwasher isnt as quite but it is a beast in getting the load of dishes and silverware cleas and spotless.

I was very picky when it was time to replace my old dishwasher. After reading through a ton of review I ended up going with this LG. I am extremely happy that I did. It is aesthetically very pleasing the installation was seamless and it operates like a dream. I am very happy with how clean the dishes are but I am also quite impressed with how quiet the unit is. If you are looking for a high end dishwasher at a good price then this is the unit for you.

Motor is going out and no customer service

We bought this dishwasher from Best Buy in September 2021 and even though there is supposed to be a 10 year warranty on the drive motor it is going out 1.5 years later My husband and I contacted a private repair company to set up repair but he recommended we contact LG. We contacted LG multiple times and they were supposed to contact our repair technician but it has been over a month and we still have yet to hear anything or have the issue resolved. Very unhappy with customer service at this point and would not recommend another LG product to any family or friends.
